“If You Give a Child a Book” Campaign
TMJ4 returned to Next Door in May to help distribute more books to Next Door students as part the “If You Give a Child a Book” campaign from TMJ4 and Scripps Howard Foundation.
The campaign, held in 2020, raised more than $21,000 from the community, including $5,000 in matching support from Bank Five Nine. The dollars raised allowed Next Door to buy more than 4,000 new books for our Books for Kids program, which helps Next Door students and children in Milwaukee build their home libraries. The station came to Next Door back in January to distribute books to our students and came back this month to share some more! We’re grateful for this generous support of childhood literacy in Milwaukee!
